oh yes. I've had an ongoing suggtrle with that for years. My only solution has been to force myself to make multiples, which is hard enough as it is. Also, I try to price things so that the sale will make me feel a little better about letting things go. Also difficult.p.s. that XL triangle bag is just SO gorgeous!

I'm sure people felt the same way about the first Duma back in 1906. It's no loegnr looking like a Russian spring, but rather the onset on winter. The reaction to ***rights is very telling, and indicative of state reaction to minority rights in general. Yet, Russia is so adamant about Eastern European countries respecting Russian minority rights in their countries.Putin is obviously not content taking a back seat in Russian politics and decided to assume again the head of state. Medvedev all to conveniently stepped aside for Vlad to resume authority, showing that he was never more than a front for Putin these past four years. Too bad, for a moment there I thought Russia was actually transcending into a Democracy.

Three years hard labor struck me as a bit much for that act of dceainfe, which resulted in no damage to the church. But, then this is a country now wanting to pass national legislation banning any kind of ***or lesbian open display in public. Several cities, including St. Pete, already have such legislation, making one wonder what defines "legal" protest in Russia.Honestly, Unter, if anything we are seeing a country backsliding, not a country moving forward. Putin and Medvedev have had 12 year to turn things around, and outside of a consolidating oil and mineral assets, I really can't see what great things they've done. They sure are pouring a lot of money into Sochi, hoping to make this a jewel of an Olympics.

My view of nationalism and mlsitariim is that we strengthen those we ostensibly criticize by playing tough with them. NATO and various other anti-Ruskie organs only reinforce the historic Russian xenophobia towards the West. Currently we are seeing a good example of that. Eisenhower had that figured out with his denouncement of the American military-industrial complex as an institutional problem in society (and not just in the US, in the society of every major country with a sizable military). NATO's institutional problem began with Madeleine Albright's 1993 inane statement "What's the point of having this superb military that you're always talking about if we can't use it?". And so, here we find ourselves back into a foolish and unnecessary Cold War in Europe. The great military philosopher Sun Tsu would have answered: "The whole point of having a superb military is never having to use it".

Russia has a long way to go still, but I'm not as pessimistic as you are, D. Many of the tighns I see going on in Russia are a sign of a blossoming society. Those protests against Putin's foolish decision to run for president again, and how they were handled are all healthy. Putin had to taste some humility, and despite the rhetoric in western media about repression, people have been quite free to express themselves. The rabid anti-Putin types really had to go to extremes to get arrested. Pussy Riot was allowed to do some pretty colorful stuff on Red Square as well as other public places and they were left alone, so they had to up the ante so much that they ended up on the altar of a sacred space in order to get the attention they so much desired. Nobody got arrested for any kind of legal protest, and tens of thousands got to repeatedly express their views in a most civilized, democratic way. You can look at the glass as half empty, but I see it half full - and getting more so on a regular basis. I expect good tighns in the coming years.

It is backsliding on the suacrfe, perhaps. But I think that these perturbations are a necessary part of the evolutionary process of Russian society. Things are getting shaken up, but not so much as to damage the process. If the equilibrium of creative order and disorder can be maintained, I think we might see Russia take a big step forward. That might not be a step in the direction of the west, however... Russia will find its own way.As far as the weird anti-gay stuff going on, it is the same reactionary macho cultural phenomenon that has occurred everywhere, it will pass with time. I was very embarrassed that here in Washington State where we passed a marriage equality law last year, that the most vociferous opposition was in the Russian immigrant community. It is true that they were almost all Pentecostal converts, but it was still very disagreeable to me. My family passed through France, and I think we picked up very liberal views on the subject a long time ago. In the US the African American community was one of the most resistant to ***issues, and now we have an African American president passing the most progressive laws sometimes things work out in the most convoluted manner.

that upon stepping down as pdenirest. During his tenure, the US greatly increased its military and nuclear capabilities, increasing tensions between the US and the Soviet Union. Whether his closing speech to the public was an act of absolution for what his administration wrought is anyone's guess, but he turned up the dial on the Cold War. Not that Khrushchev was backing away from the challenge, as Kennedy soon found out. But, this goes both ways with Eastern Europe stuck in the middle of all this "power politics," which is why they were so anxious to be a part of NATO. They saw it as an insurance policy against potential Russian aggression. This is why Poland and Hungary are so upset they aren't getting the missile defense system Bush promised them.Meanwhile, Russia openly sells arms to Venezuela and other Latin American countries and conducts maneuvers in the Gulf of Mexico. It is the world's second largest arms dealer behind the US, and has provided nuclear capabilities to Iran in defiance of UN nuclear non-proliferation agreements. Neither side has acted on the up and up. To read your comments Putin is just responding to what he perceives as US and NATO aggression. These were the pretenses Stalin used to consolidate Eastern Europe into the Warsaw Pact. Now, Putin seems to want to do the same with what's left of the CIS.

Seriously D, Putin as Stalin? That is just silly talk, if there is any historic firuge Putin admires, it is Peter I. But I suppose that is a concern in itself given Big Pete's destruction of the Swedish Empire ;-)But my comments were about the military industrial complex that exists in every major country, not just the US. That is my concern about the tit-for-tat politicking of this new Cold War, what it does is reinforce the militarists on either sides of the political divide. In other words, it isn't about the US v. Russia, rather it is about the militarists v. the peaceniks in both countries. It is vicious cycle that has been restarted and it will be hard to reverse. As for Putin, like him or not he probably would never have become the leader of Russia if it wasn't for the NATO attack on Yugoslavia in 1999. That scared the living crap out of Russians across the political spectrum, and fundamentally altered the attitude towards the West that had been in place before then. Russians truly felt they needed a strongman to head the country in response to the threat. But it was the West that threw open the lid of Pandora's Box, not Russia. I know this not from reading well written nonsense in the NYT, but rather from having travelled across Russia during the 1996 election campaign. At that time the overwhelming view of the West was positive. That was turned on its head overnight when NATO started killing Serbs. Could the fools in the State Department have been so ignorant that Russians would perceive an attack on Serbs as the same as an attack on themselves? The remarkable thing is that nobody in the West is willing to recognize or discuss this, rather somehow it is portrayed that Russia went a little crazy on its own in the artic Taiga, and Putin crawled out a Soviet nuclear waste dump after lightning struck it during a full moon. He didn't.

As a consumer/ad traegt and Android user, this sort of thing sounds very promising. I fear, however, that it will be less successful than it could be if Google doesn't figure out a better way to accurately rout traegt ads to appropriate geographic locations.I live in South New Jersey and commute to Philadelphia. Most of the location-based ads I get served are for businesses in the North Jersey/NY market. This happens so often that I've more or less given up on clicking through the ads I'm served. Usually ends of being a waste of time and thus very frustrating.

Well, Grybauskaite doesn't have much say in the matter, unelss they fail to form a coalition. She is a Conservative and doesn't like the fact that her party came out on the short end of the stick. As for Uspaskich, I'm not a big fan either, but he is only one part of the equation. What really got her goat is that her rival Social Democrats won the most seats in Parliament. Labor and Justice came in second and fourth respectively. The Conservatives deserve what they got. They ruled by decree these past four years, refusing to answer to the public on any issue, until forced to by the Supreme Court when they tried to ram a bill for a $6 bil nuclear reactor through Parliament, which the country can ill afford. The court ruled that such a decision necessitated a referendum, which the Conservatives lost decisively not. Grybauskaite also stood behind the nuclear reactor.
